Brent Daniels is a producer, composer, singer, sound designer and recording artist using the latest in computer technology to sculpt sound and create music. Using a Digital Sampling Workstation, Brent creates an exciting and entertaining performance, while showing students the important relationship between computers and composing in today's recorded music.
Using his keyboard, recording microphone and synthesizer, Brent will teach students how music is composed using computers and digital technology for albums, movie soundtracks, television shows, video games and more.
Technological Music Production incorporates education with active and engaged entertainment. Students will participate in the program to help Brent create a one-of-a-kind, on-the-spot sound creation and song composition that will raise the roof!
You will be amazed at the way Brent relates to students by bringing out the eager musician in each of them. Brent is an avid advocate for education and will demonstrate for students how education—even the subjects of Math and English—and positive decision-making are important contributors to success in every professional career.
RED RIBBON ASSEMBLY - Having worked in the music industry in Los Angeles for the past twelve years, Brent has had personal experiences with drug abuse through friends and colleagues, and can talk with students about the importance of choosing a drug-free life.
Currently Brent is composing and recording his first full feature film score for the film A Lonely Place For Dying, starring Academy Award nominee James Cromwell (W, L.A. Confidential, Babe: A Pig In The City), and Michael Wincott (What Just Happened?, The Crow, The Count Of Monte Cristo, Alien: Resurrection), which will be released in 2009. We now have a video of Brent's work in A Lonely Place for Dying (he doesn’t perform this at schools, but it shows the caliber of artist that he is).

This is not a show we could have recreated because Brent was extremely authentic in the way he designed and implemented the program. OUT OF THIS WORLD! Brent shared his love of music and technology with our students in a way that commanded their attention, brought musical terms they were learning in their GLE music classes to the forefront, and showed how technology can be incorporated to create music. We hosted Brent Daniels today at our school. I want to tell you that he is an amazing and gifted musician! He showed up with plenty of time, set-up and presented a fabulous program for our K - 3 kids and another program for our grades 4 - 6. Our students in grades 4 - 6 all either play an instrument and/or sing in chorus so our upper grade kids understood and were fascinated by his very interactive program. Several teachers gave me a double thumbs up during the program, our music teacher just beamed for 2+ hours!! The kids danced, sang and participated the entire hour of each performance. Brent Daniels really connected with the students, even the 8th graders, which are a tough crowd. The students commented on how amazed they were that Brent could take the random sounds and alter them while at the same time explain music theory and why he was altering the sounds and then create a great piece of music. All the teachers were talking about the assembly during lunch - which is always a good sign. One of the students commented that she could not imagine someone dropping out of school after hearing Brent. My son and his friend came home from school and immediately went to Brent's website.
